Cuba was over the top!
Josh, several awesome people from the surrounding area and I spent the most amazing 11 days in Cuba. God is definitely moving rapidly in this country. Upon arriving in Cuba, we visited several churches and found that the church is thriving and growing faster than one can imagine. We spent several days before the conference ministering to the pastors and leaders and enjoying their fellowship.
On Thursday our team traveled about 8 hours further into the country from Havana to Santa Clara and began our worship conference. We had a huge round slab of cement outside, three buildings for classes and rooms with beds so that we could rest during the day. It was a great retreat center. Every morning we began the conference worshiping together with Cuba's most amazing worship team. These people know how to worship and be free. Following worship, we split off into classes for the day where our team taught on areas pertaining to the prophetic and worship. In the evenings, we had full fledged services for anyone from the region who wanted to attend. Dynamic worship opened the evening with words of knowledge and a free flow of the prophetic which of course heightened the atmosphere for the presence of God. We saw people being set free and healed. People were lying all over the cement being touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. God spoke many words over the nation and over this worship team.
Let me share just a moment about this incredible group of young people. When I went to Cuba two years ago, we did a conference for the entire area. While these kids did the worship for the conference, I will never forget my intense emotion as I said to the Lord, "Why am I here? What in the world do I have to offer these young men and women?" The Lord spoke to me immediately saying that these kids could go up in worship but they did not know how to go in. Therefore, it was my job to teach them and release them into this realm of the Spirit. Consequently, you can imagine, these kids walked out of that conference in a level they had never experienced.
When I arrived in Cuba last week, two of the boys came to me and said that they had been praying everyday that God would bring me back. The boys told me that they walked into that first conference as just a group of musicians and walked OUT a new group in the Spirit. They took the small seed that I planted and are now traveling all over Cuba breaking ground through worship. They have invitations every weekend to come and spread the Great News through worship. They are called THE WORSHIPPING WARRIORS! I must say, "They definitely are that!" I am so humbled that the Father would use me to plant this small seed in them. I am even more humbled by the fact that the seed grew into this enormous tree with fruit and I was able to pick from the tree and eat its fruit this time. WOW!
I want to thank each one of you for your prayers and support during this trip to Cuba. I could feel your prayers and at times felt the peace as we were being lifted up by your arms of prayer.
Once again thank you for supporting this ministry. You have been a part of Cuba and the growing church there. You have released a worship team that will be a part of breaking ground for a nation and this is no small thing. God is up to something huge there and because of your support, you have been a part. Wow! I think I am getting this!
