Julaine Christensen
Born in South Dakota to a Lutheran family, Julaine attended and graduated from South Dakota State University, where she met her husband, Dave. As a military family they have traveled extensively throughout the United States. At the age of 26, Julaine gave her life to Christ in Washington, D.C., while working as a legislative aide on Capital Hill. Since then she has followed Him diligently. While moving about the country, she taught high school English and Bible for 18 years. In March of 1992, in obedience to the call of God, Julaine was licensed by the Assemblies of God and then in April of 1998, she was ordained. Throughout all this time, key philosophies were being developed in her life.
"I believe that we live in a world inundated with the lies of the enemy. We have a generation buying into those lies and reaping a life of hopelessness. Scripture says that we might have life and life abundantly. He came to set the captive free. "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with a Holy Spirit and with fire." (Matt. 3:11) Our world needs to experience a Fresh Fire - a fire that changes lives. 'Many experience a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof.' (II Tim. 3:4) It's the power of Christ that changes lives forever. Hope is found in the cross."
Tremendous vocal gifts, together with a heart for genuine worship, blossomed into a diverse music ministry which has included extensive solo and group work, plus the regular leading of praise and worship throughout local churches of the cities in which she has lived. She was the director of praise and worship in her home church before launching out into full-time ministry. Julaine has ministered in more than eight major countries including communist China, Bangladesh and the Philippines. This gift of worship has been an integral part of Julaine's ministry. Her ability to lead congregations into new levels of prophetic worship has resulted in many changed lives as well as testimonies of God's healing power for breakthrough. Her gift of teaching and her sensitivity to the Word have brought many to a deeper commitment and a stronger foundation in their walk with the Lord. Passion for Christ and His love have been the pulse of this ministry. Julaine has a burning desire for God and longs to see souls saved and on fire for Jesus. Julaine has released six worship CD's including her newest entitled, "Be Still & Know" which will take the listener to deeper places in worship. This CD will give the listener time to sit before the Lord and gaze upon His beauty. The music will draw the listener to seek the face of Jesus Christ in an intimate way releasing a prophetic flow of the Spirit of God. Julaine teams up with her son, Chad, and worshipper, Josh Carvell, to give you a special place in worship. The parents of three grown children, Julaine and Dave currently reside in Omaha, NE, where Dave is a local attorney. |
